Welcome to the Opal Hill Mine
The Opal Hill Mine in
Palo Verde, CA. is the only fire agate mine open to the public

The Opal Hill Mine is a fee dig site, so for $25.00 a day, per person you can keep all the fire agate that you find. Fire agate mining is hard rock mining, meaning it requires a sledge hammer, chiesels, and a little elbow grease to release this precious gemstone from it's basalt host rock.
Tours are offered to make this elusive gemstone a little easier to find, and extract.
For full guided tour info contact Craig at 760-424-6504, or
